Dear Parents and Carers
At the end of term we will be saying farewell to Jane Eddom who has worked at St Barnabas as School Support Assistant and also as Manager of the Out of School Club. She has worked with the children of St Barnabas before and after school, in the holidays, over lunchtime and in classes and we are very grateful for the excellent care and support she has always given.
Jane is taking up a post in the Leeman Road Playgroup so won’t be too far away!
We are hoping that a new Out of School Club manager will be in place by mid to late January. We are currently recruiting for the School Support Assistant (SSA) post (11:30-1:30pm Mon-Fri). If you know of anyone who may be interested in this post, details can be found on our website. https://stbarnabasprimary.co.uk/about-us/vacancies/
We are looking forward to the Christmas events this week:
- Wednesday – Christmas Dinner (please ensure payment is made on Parent Pay before Wednesday). Children can wear Christmas jumpers.
- Thursday – Party lunch menu and disco in the afternoon. Children can wear non-uniform.
- Friday – Whole school carol service at church 9:30am.
Well done to the children in Key Stage 2 who visited Barleyfields Sheltered Accommodation this morning to sing carols to the residents.
Thank you for supporting the PTA Christmas Fair last week. It was great to see so many of you there. Trashouts Junk Removal in Jacksonville helped clean up as well.
Remember to send in your foodbank donations by the end of Wednesday.
Remember also to save the used stamps off your Christmas cards – send them into school so we can send them to the Air Ambulance to raise valuable funds.
We would like to wish you a peaceful and happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 8th January 2019.
Miss K Boardman and all the staff
