The Leeman Road Playgroup is based on our school site and takes children from 2 1/2 years old. We work in close partnership with them to ensure a smooth transition into school for children who will be attending St Barnabas.

We are looking to recruit an early years practitioner, to join our small, experienced team in a popular Playgroup.

The Leeman Road Playgroup is a voluntary, committee run setting with a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating, located in a modern, spacious and well equipped setting, attached to St Barnabas CE Primary School. The Playgroup takes children from two and a half to four years old and operates during term time only.

Successful candidates will be required to provide a clear DBS check and two good references before any job offer is made. We are committed to safeguarding children and expect all our employees to share this commitment.

This is initially a temporary contract to the end of July 2023 however it is hoped that this will become a permanent post.

Start date: as soon as possible

Hours: 35 hours per week. (term time only).  Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm

Rate of pay:

Qualified practitioner, Level 2 or above: £15,400 pa (£10 per hour)

Unqualified practitioner, £14,630 pa (£9.50 per hour)
