The children were all treated to a fantastic Christmas Party, with games, food and a disco. Thank you to everyone who brought in food-it created a delicious feast. Father Christmas managed to find time in his very busy schedule to visit us at the end of the day and distribute presents to the children, amidst much excitement.
The PTA organised a Christmas Fair on 12th December. It was very well attended, with a variety of stalls and lots to buy! Thanks to all who gave raffle and tombola prizes and to everyone who gave their time to organise the event.
In keeping with tradition at St Barnabas, the children were served their Christmas Lunch by the teachers and staff. As you can imagine this does take some organising and there is quite a bit of rivalry about who serves what and how many sprouts everyone should have etc. The staff and children really enjoy this festive tradition and a fun time is had by all. Thanks go to the very patient kitchen staff who served a wonderful lunch as ever!
Riding Lights Theatre
Riding Lights performed their touring production of ‘A Christmas Cracker’ on December 16th. It was all about storytelling and was a fun way to watch the Christmas Story, with plenty of singing, music and jokes too. One of the Year 6 children said that Christmas had finally begun now Riding Lights had performed.
