Once again we all enjoyed the wonderful events held at St Barnabas this Christmas.
Firstly we ate our whole school Christmas lunch together. This event takes a lot of organising and preparation but is enjoyed enormously by staff and children alike. Thank you to Donna and Helen for cooking such a lovely lunch.
Later in the week we had party day! This was arranged slightly differently from previous years and a buffet was served to the whole school instead of contributions being sent in by parents. The tables looked wonderful in the school hall all laid out for the children. After lunch we had a disco, party games and a visit from a Very Important Person.
In the final week of school we held our whole school Nativity performances in St Barnabas Church. This is, without a doubt one of my favourite times of the year. The children always come into their own and showed us how Christmas is celebrated around the world. At the end of the performance the children in Simmonds class made a lovely traditional Nativity tableau on the stage.
Many thanks to the staff, parents and children who make all these events possible.
